The foundation of my training is bringing out a quiet confidence that stays with a dog through any tough situation.
Sucess depends up on the confidence we build in our dogsThe work I ask of my dogs — whether on the ranch or on demanding courses like Meeker — requires a strong mind. I have worked to build a program that gives every dog the best chance to succeed in those tough situations so they can thrive when they go to work for someone else.
I was thinking you could add some of your roundpen videos here if that is what you were going for? And we could make this page invisible for now.
A True PartnerMy dogs are sent into rough country to move cattle often hundreds of yards away, across miles of terrain I can't always reach myself. That's where the dog comes in — and many of them are just over a year old when they start doing this work. If people truly understood how capable a good dog can be, they would never want to be without one.
Someone is moving cows, and it is steep, and there is no way I can get down there, so I sent the dog, and she was able to bring them up.
